strong statement - we think that there are other decent quality twin-motor
uprights; but, Lindhaus excels in every respect.One of the growing concerns today - especially in the corporate and healthcare sectors of the commercial cleaning industry - is the need for vacuum equipment that, as it operates, provides clean, healthy air for the indoor environment.
This can only be accomplished by having two things in place: (1) a vacuum that has airtight housings so that the tiny pollutants are not spewed back into the air through the gaps and apertures in the vacuum itself and (2) a high grade filtering system (all the way up to Hepa level) to capture these tiny LDPs (lung-damaging-particles) from the fixed exhaust of the vacuum.
Many if not most vacuums do not have such airtight housings. It requires a dedicated level of engineering to achieve airtight housings in a vacuum - most manufacturers either can't or won't take the necessary steps so that their vacuums will provide clean, healthy exhaust air. Incredibly, many manufacturers, including some of the largest and oldest manufacturers in the industry, not only leak pollutants prodigiously from the housings; but, almost worse, continue to use or to offer cloth shake-out or dirt-cup dirt collection methods. This is an unbelievably filthy, primative method and should immediately disqualify the vacuum from consideration. Lindhaus, however, only makes vacuums that use sealed systems with high filtration.
In addition, a Lindhaus Commercial Upright vacuum is incredibly quiet. This is accomplished by superior engineering, by using their own, perfectly balanced motors and by the appropriate use of sound baffling materials. All this means that a Lindhaus vacuum can be used during hours of operation in which staff members are working, talking on the phones, etc. without any distraction or interruption. As well, there is no noise pollution for the user.
Of course, one of the primary needs of any vacuum is to clean efficiently. Lindhaus accomplishes this by using the proven design of two motors. One, main vacuum motor with two fans provides solid cleaning power (about 80" of waterlift) while a second motor spins the revolving brush at the high speed of 5,000 rpm via a semi-permanent cogged belt. This ensures rapid, thorough removal of soil from the facility being cleaned.
To facilitate cleaning of edges, baseboards, table tops, upholstered furniture, etc. many of the Lindhaus Commercial Upright vacuums - certainly, our most popular models - employ tools-on-board (TOB). Thus, the user can instantly stand the vacuum handle upright which shuts off the revolving brush assembly (this prevents constant agitation in one spot only on the carpet while the desk, etc. is being vacuumed with the dusting tool) and use any of the attached accessories either directly on the end of the hose or via an attached, telescopic wand. Very convenient!
The Lindhaus Commercial Upright also features an easy change bag. The bag cover removes instantly and effortlessly with one button (no fighting with friction snap housings, jammed zippers, stubborn bag closure slides, etc.). The bag simply slides off of the intake.
At this juncture a pivot arm swings into place and prevents the vacuum from being used without a new bag being reinstalled. Very important design feature! Underneath the bag is a semi-permanent, washable filter.
With every package of bags (convenient 10-pak) are 3M Filtrete filters (the same type of filter used in hospital incubators, etc.) that simply fit into place underneath a front cover. Just press one button and the cover removes. By setting up the bags with filters in this way, Lindhaus ensures that thou dost change the filters regularly, ensuring fresh, clean exhaust air from the vacuum.
A Lindhaus also has an adjustable handle so that users of different height can have maximum ease-of-use. Just press one button and the handle slides up or down to the proper position. Very thoughtful!
In summation, Lindhaus provides an extremely efficient, durable, fast upright vacuum that is quiet and will provide maximum containment of health-affecting microscopic particles.
