About Ordering

 - ALL PRICING IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE -

Our ordering process is simple and straightforward.  We have a minimum requirement of $25 of product to ship merchandise.  Anything below that carries a $10 upcharge (i.e., if you order $6 worth of vacuum cleaner belts you will be charged for the belts, the shipping charge and a $10 upcharge).  NOTE:  Please be aware that our shopping cart system will not calculate upcharges for order minimums - these will be added to your credit card at the time of shipping.                       credit card pic

Internet Ordering:  Since we are in the process of up-grading our entire website, we are gradually integrating an on-line shopping cart into our ordering process.  We realize that, until we complete this process, this can be an inconvenience for certain items.  However, if you would be inclined to just pick up the phone and call us toll-free at 1-866-PeterCo (738-3726) we can simply take your order using conventional credit card methods.  Alternately, you can e-mail us at sales@etpetersen.com.

Payment:  Of course, you may fax us with your order (please include your credit card number on all faxed orders).  If you like, you may mail us a check with your order.  Or, as noted above, you may simply phone us on our toll-free number 1-866-Peterco(738-3726) with your order and credit card number.  If you are a NJ State entity purchasing under NJ State Contract we simply need a valid Purchase Order.  We are a 45+ year-old (since 1956), "brick and mortar", family-owned sales and service business with an internet presence to help facilitate all our present and future customers' needs.  Our phones are answered 9:00 to 5:30 EST Monday through Saturday (closed Wednesdays and Sundays) - Thursdays 9:00 - 9:00.  Other than valid Purchase Orders, as noted above, all merchandise being shipped to you must be paid for in advance.

Shipping Charges:  Like any major, legitimate mail order or internet business we apply appropriate (normally, UPS Ground) shipping charges to your order.  The order page will show you these charges.  On certain products; namely, Miele vacuums, Lindhaus vacuums, Sebo vacuums and the LadyBugXL Steam Vapor Cleaner the product is shipped freight FREE by UPS Ground within the continental USA.

Our normal method of shipping is UPS Ground; however, we can ship UPS overnight, UPS 2nd Day Air, FedEx or by motor freight (truck), etc.  Appropriate charges will apply on these methods of shipping regardless of the product line.  If you desire to have freight-free products - i.e., a Miele vacuum, Lindhaus or Sebo vacuum as noted above - ordered Overnight they will then carry an appropriate Overnight shipping charge.  NOTE:  If you order these free-freight products (Miele, etc.) any other way than UPS Ground  using the internet, our shopping cart program will show a shipping charge of $0.00.  However, when we process the order we will add in a separate, appropriate shipping charge.  Alternately, if you need such products shipped Next Day Air, etc. please contact us either by e-mail at sales@etpetersen.com or by toll-free phone at 1-866-738-3726 to arrange for expedited shipping.  Also, if you order a freight-free product such as a Miele vacuum and also order bags, filters, etc. the bags and filters will carry a shipping charge.

Returns:  We will accept for return merchandise purchased from us returned in new, salable condition with all instruction books and original guarantees intact.  Product must be returned to us within 10 days of original purchase in original, undamaged cartons with all packing material intact, and must be shipped to us insured and freight prepaid.  We do not refund shipping charges.  We will not accept for return any products scratched, dented, dirty or damaged in any way that would prevent resale as in new condition.  Special orders are non-refundable.

We will not accept any product for return without a Return Authorization number.  This RA# can be obtained by calling us toll-free at 1-866-Peterco(738-3726).

All merchandise we sell comes complete with manufacturer's guarantee.  If, for any reason, a product is defective under guarantee, it can be returned to us prepaid and insured in original equipment cartons with packing and we will either repair or replace it according to manufacturer's guarantee.  Such manufacturers' warranties typically do not cover shipping charges.  In some instances (heaters, air conditioners, for example) we may advise that the product be shipped directly to the factory.
